For those designing a site's structure and architecture Cobra-cms provides a simple but powerful menus based solution.

Menus: are standalone hierarchical structures that provide a sites navigation taxonomy.  From a web site perspective menus can be rendered in simple HTML, DHTML JavaScript or for accessability and performance, CSS.   Each item in a menu can be one four types:

  • Pages are links to internal CMS content.
  • Hyperlinks allow links to external URLS.
  • Menu text allows menu headings to created
  • Dividers allow menu items to visually separated   

Menus can be used to create standalone micro sites.  These can have completely separate visual identity and administration.

Content grouping (lists):  Cobra-cms supports the grouping together of content such as press releases or newsletters.  This grouping enables large amounts of content to be broken up into separate pages and automatically linked together by a set navigation controls.

Site search: Cobra-cms has a built in search facility. Site users and visitors can search site using simple, combined and boolean searches.  The format and number of search results can be customised through site meta data.

For larger sites external search technology, such as DT search can be integrated to provide a comprehensive information discovery solution.

Meta Data:  can be easily created for users, pages, site and user defined objects.  Meta data fields can be simple text boxes, drop down list boxes or check boxes.  Meta data can be easily accessed and processed in Cobra-cms skins.
