As part of our ease of use philosophy we wanted to make life much easier for web masters and site administrators. That’s why most actions can be performed whilst the site is still live and the user interface emulates common administration interface style and behaviour techniques.
Search friendly URLs: We encrypt our ULRs. This is to prevent site hacking and provide a consistent structure for book marking and search engine friendliness. We use an item's menu name as the page name e.g. new_products.aspx. This easily identifies a specific page in web logs and in web analysis packages.
Content deletion: When items are deleted by a user they sit in a trash can and can be either recovered or permanently deleted.
Content re-homing: Pages or whole site sections can be easily moved within a menu in a couple of clicks using our Mark & Move technique.
Direct HTML access: of site content bypassing templates. Enabling access to raw HTML for mark-up fixing, incorporating advanced HTML editing techniques, and for those ‘Doh’ moments.
Menus: are standalone hierarchical structures that provide a sites navigation taxonomy. Menus can have a totally separate visual identity and management. So out of the box you can have a public web site, a secure intranet and an extranet.
Site availability: A site can be taken on & offline with ease, an “apology message” can be created letting site visitors know when the site might be back in operation.
User and Group management: The management of User/Group permissions is achieved through an easy-to-use and familiar interface design. Users can be members of groups, and permissions applied to users, groups, or everyone.
Site Membership: Cobra-cms supports a site membership system. Members are assigned to groups where access rights and permissions can be set. Meta data can be created for members allowing extended information to be saved or collected about users
Action logging: User administration and authoring actions can be logged into Cobra-cms specific logfiles on a scale from light to verbose.
Cobra-cms has been a great choice for us it’s so easy to use and administrate.
Its security structure allows us to share site management and content creation between clubs members.
